TSG Essempio devised concepts for Signify (formerly Philips Lighting) for design luminaires with integrated OLED modules. The selected concept has been realized for exhibition at the OLED Lumiblade Creative Lab in Aachen - Germany.
Signify (formerly Philips Lighting) focuses on a specific lighting market. The common market range of standard light sources consists of incandescent, halogen, fluorescent, HID and LED lamps.
It also sells electronic components, such as electronic ballasts and fixtures. The customers are consumers and professional users.
TSG Essempio was approached by Signify (at that time Philips Lighting) to come up with concepts for design luminaires with integrated OLED modules for the OLED Lumiblade Creative Lab in Aachen.
This thin 3.5 mm GL350 light source consists of a light-emitting surface and has a lifespan of at least 15000 hours. Outside concepts based on existing OLED technology, a vision with presentation has been made on future OLED concepts and applications.

TSG Essempio has used the commercially available high-end OLED module GL350, which is designed and developed by TSG InnoteQ including UL certification.
Various lighting concepts have been designed to the full satisfaction of Philips. Finally, one of the designs was realized and installed in the Lumiblade Creative Lab in Aachen – Germany.
