Interview with Lonneke: Opportunities in digitalization
Since last February, Lonneke has been serving as the Business Manager for Software within our team. With a background in Embedded System Engineering and a love for technology, she is the perfect addition to the TSG Group team, with a special focus on digitalization projects and IoT software. With great enthusiasm, she shares her experiences so far and the intriguing challenges she is tackling.
Background and Motivation
"I have always been fascinated by the possibilities that technology offers," begins Lonneke. However, after her studies, she decided she wanted to continue in the technical world but not necessarily as an engineer. "I wanted a role where I could understand and work with technology, but also communicate with clients and help them find the best solutions."
When TSG Group crossed her path, she saw a great challenge that matched her desire. "The company is in a transformative phase, where software plays an increasingly significant role in digitalization projects and in making machines and products smarter," she explains. "That was exactly what I was looking for – a dynamic environment where I could use my technical expertise while contributing to the company's growth."
Experience with Software Projects
Although Lonneke was not directly involved in writing code, she has always worked on the client side, where she used her technical knowledge to provide advice. "I have always worked in technical roles because I really enjoy it," she says. "It's amazing to see how technologies can be applied to solve real problems and help businesses move forward."
KlikOpMorgen Program
One of the biggest challenges Lonneke sees is the lack of awareness among organizations about the possibilities of digitalization. "Many companies do not realize what is possible with technology," she explains. That is why TSG Group is involved as an Expert in the KlikOpMorgen program, which lowers the barriers for companies to digitalize their processes. "We help organizations understand how they can intelligently integrate people, machines, and ICT systems and what this can deliver," says Lonneke enthusiastically. "Additionally, we look at how digitalization can increase the predictability and effectiveness of business processes, as well as the OEE or yield of production."
Challenges and Opportunities in Digitalization
While the subsidy program focuses solely on expertise and advice, projects within TSG go a step further. We develop algorithms and data-driven solutions to provide our clients with greater insight into the status of their machinery or products in the field.
